Practicing the Pronoun I (Yahweh) - Turn Up

As I approach this journey in Faith one may assume the name of the over arching project "Studio Grand Dios" and focusing on the pronoun "I" as being narcissistic.  Yet, it is exactly opposite.  It is simply the infancy and my way and saying "I am here".  In the Christian faith God is referred to as I am - the Way - the Truth - and - The Life. Which is in line with the Spiritual pattern of the number 3 or Trinity.  God - the Father - the Son and - The Holy Spirit.

When we engage in introspection, it's a valuable practice to ask ourselves who we are, where we are, and why we are here—regardless of our faith tradition. The word Why in the conjunctive tense questions one's existence.  Why am I here, Who am I with, and What is our purpose?  This is when one finds themselves in the presences of others experiencing community and hopefully unity.   As we approach community most of being is just showing up, or as my students would say "Turning Up".  The next is the movement of the Spirit through conversation and mutual experience.

I recently stumbled on a German Theologian Meister Eckhart and becoming familiar with their teaching and reflections.  They tap into the reality of existence as just being in tune with the presence of God. There are a few old sayings like "Let Go Let God" or Fully Rely on God". Perhaps this is simplifying these complex teaching Eckhart pondered.  To me Faith has not always been easy but understanding that there is a Divine Order and pattern of Nature has always been obvious which is why on my inner right ankle in Hebrew scribe I have a tattoo that says "Here I am Lord, Send Me". From now moving forward if I am there I strive to be a vessel of the Divine.

A View from the Hungarian Quarter – Rome

 I am currently sitting on a private balcony at my hotel in the Hungarian Quarter of Rome, enjoying a glass of wine after over 20 hours of travel. Here I Am, Again

  As a youngster growing up in a vibrant, multigenerational faith community, Sundays felt like gatherings of extended family. My church family was shared with my dentist, my band director, my science teacher along with many active citizens and role models in our town. That close-knit environment helped inspire my own journey of faith. I vividly remember the sixth grade especially the summer I spent at Camp Cho-Yeh in Livingston, Texas. Walking in Faith and Learning: A Reflection on Teaching, Personality, and Presence

This semester, I am teaching a Learning Frameworks college course that uses a new open-source text filled with resources and self-assessments designed to help first-year college students understand themselves as learners. Through exploring their strengths, habits, and personality types, students begin to see how their unique learning styles can align with their career interests and future pursuits. What I didn’t expect, however, was that in guiding my students on this journey of self-discovery, I would find myself on one as well.
